AMA — BK meets COO Robert Weir for “jigstack”
Welcome to another Round of AMAs with Bullishkid and promising projects.
On February 8th we had an AMA with the Team from “My Neighbor Alice” from ANTLER Interactive
Date: Tuesday 23.03.2021
Time: 14.00 UTC
Where: Kids Cave

BK:
Lets start swiftly to not keep you off the work for too long.
Could you please introduce yourself, your background and what lead to the decision to found Jigstack?
Robert Weir:
I am Roby Weir the COO of Jigstack. My background over the last 10 years has been developing start-ups in the digital space from the ground up. These have either been companies I have owned or projects I have invested in. The E-commerce space is where I have spent most of my time however, I have had a growing interest in blockchain over the last few years and when we decided to bring our products under a DAO governance business model I put my hand up to build the team and execute this vision.
BK:
Thank you for the introduction. You are already speaking about a DAO, which is jigstack.
May you tell us in a few sentences what exactly jigstack is? Why is it needed and what problems does it try to solve
Robert Weir:
Jigstack is the first decentralized Ethereum-based DAO (autonomous organization) with a conglomerate structure. Its purpose is to govern a range of high-quality defi products. We see ourselves as the Microsoft of Defi and want to help bring a standard of both user experience and security that has not been seen before in the DEFI space.
BK:
Now, the reason why most of the people are here. Jigstack and therefore the DAO have their token.
How is it used or in other words where is the token value generated from?
As after all, most want a good performing token 😉
Robert Weir:
Good question.
The value is that our tokens will become a key Pillar in our DAO governance and all STAK holders will have voting rights on the direction Jigstack goes in the future. Also by Staking your STAK, token holders will receive revenues from all our transaction fees across all our products. We are super excited to Launch Stakbank which will be coming out very soon after our Public Sale….
BK:
Thank you for the explanation!
So jigstack is the governance token, that usually is called “valueless” but instead has added revenues :)
Now that you are mentioning Stakbank -
Which milestones have you achieved so far and are there any milestones you are looking out for especially that you can’t wait for? (besides Stakbank of course)
And since you mention the public sale as well — a short summary/info would always be appreciated for the people here.
Robert Weir:
Well off the top we successfully sold out our Seed and Private rounds super fast and actually ended up oversubscribed. Another key milestone was our acquisition of ICOrating which will be a great asset for reviewing all projects that will be launching on our product Lemonade in the near future.
Yes, our Public sale will be announced very soon on all our channels. This sale will actually be performed our first Product Lemonade which is a Launchpad for projects who want to raise funds.
BK:
Makes sense!
Now as we have a rough overview of your background, the project and the plans lets move over to the community round.
I would do a few community questions from the form here and once we are over them I would open for the public live AMA:
With so many launchpads around. What makes this one unique?
Robert Weir:
Our launchpad is built with both UI/UX and Security Equally valued which we see is a big problem right now as most will either lean one way or the other. Another thing is our launchpad will become completely decentralised run by the community of STAK holders.
BK:
Staking is an important aspect of the Jigstack infrastructure, will staking be required to participate in Dapp's such as lemonade for example?
Robert Weir:
Stak will get exclusive offers to whitelist solutions for all projects that launch on Lemonade.
BK:
What the token used on Lemonade to stake in order to gain access to the Jigstak IDO?
Robert Weir:
No token you can use ETH or USDT to purchase your STOK tokens.
BK:
With so many platforms out there, how do you plan to stand out from them and be better?
Robert Weir:
Execution is key and being engaged and transparent to our holders and community. Always developing and improving our products are also key.
BK:
I am very interested in running a node, what can we expect the hardware requirements to be for this?
Robert Weir:
We don’t have our own Nodes.
BK:
Other platforms offer ridiculous conditions for public sales, or will you join the same caravan or go a different route.
Robert Weir:
We will keep it as simplistic as possible. We want all our products to be designed to be used for people who are ever novice or non-crypto people.
BK:
What do you mean by Microsoft’s definition?
So what is your goal in reaching everyone? How will it benefit you and us?
Robert Weir:
We want to be a brand that builds a suite of products that changes people's lives like what Microsoft did for every household with its products.
BK:
Thank you for all the good answers and for taking the time to answer all of them!
I think it's time to open the community live AMA.
Please don’t hesitate to ask Roby your questions — we will pick the best ones out for a small reward afterward :)
But also he only got 2 hands to type — so don’t try to overwhelm him too much.
Community:
What issues regarding security in defi network, jigstack is intended to solve?
Robert Weir:
The security we are wanting to give all the tools to projects to launch safely and successfully. This will give a standard that investors who can trust these products are real, secure, and have great assets at their disposal.
Community:
What is your status regarding the audit of your smart contracts and security mechanisms to protect and assure the participants of the ecosystem?
Robert Weir:
We are using a very reputable third-party Cyber Unit for our smart contracts. We also are doing a Pen test and Stress test as well to make sure there are no problems.
Community:
All the products of Jigstack are based on five commandments: they need to be trusted, secure, faster, easier, and cheaper. But as we all know, Ethereum is not the faster or cheaper option right now, so how will you tackle this issue? Doesn’t this affect the Jigstack project, since it is about Ethereum assets and protocols?
Robert Weir:
We are working with Manic to help get the GAS fees reduced. We are also looking at other chains to develop our products on. For example, we have recently partnered with Hedera
Community:
Could you explain to me what is the concept system of Jicstack Lemonade that your project has? And why do u think a program like Lemonade is important in the DEFI and crypto world?
Robert Weir:
Lemonade on its own brings a more simpler and use friendly launchpad than what is out there. But with the power of the other products on under jisgatck will be able to provide a full-blown solution for companies to launch into the crypto world. Not to mention that JIgstack will become fully decentralised. DAO all the way :)
Community:
How Can I participate in your public sales and do you have any terms and conditions for it?
Robert Weir:
We will be announcing all information on our public sale very soon.
Community:
Thank you for the opportunity to ask some questions :)
You mention Stakbank as a way for holders to get revenues from the fee generated by all your products. This is an interesting route as it mimic some existing financial products, and quite a few projects now tend to build actual decentralized solutions that reward anonymous holders. However, there is a lot of discussion regarding DeFi, the fatf guidelines, and the need for us to adapt to a tight regulation framework that still needs to be built: how do you engage with regulators? How do you see this being played within 5 years?
Robert Weir:
Great question and obviously this is something we think long and hard about. We are working with a lot of stakeholders on this now and we belive with guidance from our CTO who has experience in these same issues from the Fintech space will have the ability to adapt to any regulations that we may face
BK:
Thank you for answering so many questions of us! As we do not want to take the whole day I would like to close the round here with the last question.
Where do you see jigstack in the next years? What is your goal, where your ambitions would be fully satisfied?
Robert Weir:
We see Jigstack having a fleet of proven commercial products with practical use cases by the end of the year. I also believe our complete DAO governance will be built in and running so our full token value will be there for all to see. I believe to see in 5 years that more and more industries become familiar with our products and use the tools we create to be applied to their industries. Such as E-commerce, Entertainment, Import/Export, and more.
Any further questions can be directed to me and I will make sure to get them answered by the team on time.
Thank you again Robert for your time and excellent answers!
